As more and more people inhabit cities, urban mobility gains even greater importance. Schindler elevators and escalators alone move a billion people a week. This is highlighted in the new Visitor Center in Ebikon, Switzerland, which was designed and implemented under the overall responsibility of iart over the course of five years. Tamschick Media + Space co-developed and produced three enormous immersive installations for the new building, all connected by a narrative bond.
I had the opportunity to art direct the motion design parts of the CITYSCAPE and CIRCLE installations for the better part of 2019.
It was a super rewarding experience, since my range of responsibilities in this overarching gig included the concept, design and animation of the general design language, presentations, motion design team lead as well as the supervision of implementation during installation phase.
Above all it was great to work with so many talented and super nice people not only at TMS and iArt but all other project partners and on the client side as well. Hardly ever before have I experienced such a respectful, productive and target-oriented collaboration of so many creative departments as in this project. Thanks everybody!
